Yay I'm done with my story! Not that that's important now, that was like a month ago... I really should start getting these done in a timely manner.

Anyway...

I have been a bit of a Naruto fan, starting with the Chunin Exams I stumbled upon during a Naruto 300 episode marathon. Since that day, I powered on through on any weekend I could, loving the big fights and variety of characters, being slightly disappointed with flashbacky episodes, but still holding the series as one of my prime toons to watch ('Avatar: the Last Airbender' and 'Teen Titans' are right up there too, of course).

Since the big Naruto vs. Sasuke match I watched on Cartoon Network, I've waited with baited breath to watch what would be the second part of the saga, Naruto Shippuden. It's set two and a half years later after Naruto gets some training from his teacher Jiraiya and travels a bit.

The US is what, one or two years behind? I didn't care. I knew it would come eventually... but then the fillers... oh goodness, the fillers. An ENTIRE SEASON of fillers. And Toonami was dying, so I feared my love affair with Naruto (the series, not the kid, don't much like the kid) was over.

After many disappointing Saturday nights, I was glad to see that Naruto.com was streaming episodes of Shippuden! Hooray, right? Well, yes and no. I like the fact that it's there (and they're new!), but I also want to hear it in English, if only to compare the voices.

And I ain't buying it from i-Tunes.

So imagine my surprise when I go back to Naruto.com and see the bulletin that Naruto is coming back to American TV on Oct. 29, 2009. My thoughts were, in the words of Homer Simpson: "WOOHOO!"

On Disney XD!

"WOOHO-wait, what?"

That's a little scary. Correction: I shuddered in my chair at the implications. What could Viz Media (or whoever does the editing) have done to the series to put something laced with that much violence (in almost every important episode) and lewd jokes (you'll understand if you know about Sai) on ANY Disney channel? At most (i.e. if you're barely censoring it), this show should be on Adult Swim on CN. Idiots dropped the ball when they dropped Toonami, and I guess they pay, unless they're planning on calling the whole channel Craptoon Network.

Aw man, just thinking about a few epis, there goes at least 5 scenes that can't possibly be shown the same way, or at least translated the same; all involve Sai. What about his introduction? What is he going to say? He can't call Naruto dickless, that's for sure... haha, that's still funny.

But I have to know what happens. Call it morbid curiosity. Is this going to be another One Piece 4Kids dub (the opening song still haunts me), or is this actually going to be something moderately enjoyable to watch?

And the most important question:

Where the hell am I going to watch Disney XD?
